“I’ve been in Real Estate Site Development for over 14 years. After graduating from Florida State University with a Masters in Civil Engineering, I began my career as a true-blue civil engineer. For 6 years I designed drainage systems and laid out site plans for various clients while working at a very reputable engineering firm. I decided to expand my experience and became a member of the Development group with Bloomin’ Brands (Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse, etc.) as a Site Development Manager and quickly realized that my passion was in the Real Estate Department. Since my tenure with Bloomin’, I’ve been held Director positions focusing on real estate and site selection and assisting franchisees and companies find that perfect locational fit for their concepts.”
“I have over 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry. I’ve owned and operated 11 successful, profitable restaurants that have all performed above the average sales volume of the concept . I have a passion for developing and implementing operational systems and standards that produce tangible results. In 1992 I purchased the rights to develop my first franchised restaurant and operated it for 20 years. In 2008, I co-founded The Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar concept and built 3 successful locations before selling the development rights to FSC Franchise Company and have seen the brand grow to over 35 locations nationwide.
I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 30+ years and have held senior management positions with concentrations in Business Development, Concept Development, Brand Management, Operations / P&L Management, Consulting and Construction Management. My background includes management with organizations such as Marriott/HOST International, Kraft Foods and Concessions International. I’ve had the opportunity to be a Franchisor with a few organizations and am currently an Owner/Franchisee of two separate fast casual concepts. My background spans a number of different channels in both food service and retail venues, including QSR, Fast Casual Restaurants, Airports, College/Universities, Health Care, Business & Industry, Malls and Convenience Stores. I believe that this variety of experience offers a balanced perspective and solid insight into the industry; I enjoy leveraging this for franchisees whether they be new or experienced in the industry.”
